Author’s Note: OK, first off, acknowledgements. The “photograph” of James and Lily in ‘Guinevere’ is by Lisa M. Rourke, who I have e-mailed, asking for permission to use to use it. If she answers in the negative, I’ll take it down. I have no beta readers, so all grammatical errors are my fault and corrections will be gratefully accepted.
Now for dedications. It would now be wildly inappropriate to dedicate this series to the person for whose entertainment it was written. So, no dedications, but my thanks to Cyber Monkey, who listened patiently to bits and pieces without any clue about the bigger picture; to The Soliloquist, who heard me rant and rave; and to Little Boy Lost, who vainly tried to make me pay attention to the socio-political aspect of the story. Also, a big thank you to Joe B R, just because.
Finally, the plot. There isn’t much of one, really – this was supposed to be a one-shot. But it seems to hold together pretty well. However, the thing is, I’d written about 20 parts, not in any serial order, before Deathly Hallows was published, and was too lazy to alter anything already written. For instance, Lily and Severus aren’t best friends, though he does like her. Regulus was killed after stealing the Horcrux. On the other hand, the Dumbledore-Grindelwald friendship gets mentioned in passing. So, read it as canonical but not DH-compliant, or as an AU, whichever best suits you.
Characters, ratings, disclaimers, etc. are given for individual stories.
The indexing is fucked-up, so, after reading this, please proceed to the first story and then navigate with the 'next post' key. I'm sorry 'bout this.
And, to finish…no, I think that’s about it.
